Free Two-Day Youth Waterfowl Event

Enjoy a free two-day Youth Waterfowl Event for ages 7–17, taking place August 8–9 in Swanton, Vermont. The first day, hosted at Spear Marsh, focuses on Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Day and offers hands‑on activities such as decoy placement, duck identification, duck‑blind construction, retriever demonstrations, Native American presentations, carving and painting, and more, with a light breakfast provided. The second day, held at the Sportsman’s Club of Franklin County, features a Junior Waterfowl Program with firearm safety discussions, shooting practice, and information on waterfowl regulations, concluding with the final lottery drawing for Refuge Blind Sites. Pre‑registration is required by July 20, all participants must be accompanied by a mentor, and lunch is provided. Registration links, contact details, and a QR code are included.
