A new series of bite-sized videos provide accessible introductions to essential wild and scenic river concepts, geared specifically for managers and planners on recently designated wild and scenic rivers. The series was developed by the Council and River Management Society. These are essentially "Cliff Notes" for new managers.

The River Management Society’s River Training Center (RTC), established in 2018, supports the effective management and stewardship of North American rivers by providing training for professionals and volunteers who study, protect, and manage them. Courses offered include those on the right.

Wild and Scenic Rivers Managers Courses
The Bureau of Land Management, in partnership with the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands at the University of Indiana and the Interagency Wild & Scenic Rivers Council, offers a comprehensive wild and scenic river training course through the IU Expand education system. These free, on-demand, online training modules (13) are self-paced and cover the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act from 101 fundamentals, the study process, river management, to comprehensive river management planning. For federal agency employees, this course is cross-listed in DOI Talent, and Continuing Education credits are available from Indiana University.
